"What was boldly original in the early 20th century now looks to us quaintly neoclassical. Eisenberg has done a fine job of breathing life into Duncan’s movement, allowing us to feel the fervor and freshness of the work."

Welcome! My name is Tracy Eisenberg. I'm a performing artist, choreographer, dance educator and non-profit administrator. On this site, you'll find a growing comprehensive of work I've created in recent years. Additionally, there is material in progress that I'm developing toward full production.

I am available for opportunities in dance education and choreography, vocal performance / recording, grant writing and other development capacities in non-profit administration.

I launched this website in the spirit of cohesive presentation, and connecting with the reader (you) in a more welcoming, conversational context. I'm sure this presentation will evolve over time, but for now, I'm pleased with its beginnings. Content is steadily building, so I encourage you to check back frequently for news, performance footage and gallery additions.

For more information about my work, availability, or to reach out with feedback, feel free to email me: tracy.eisenberg@gmail.com

Singing is a lifelong passion of mine. I was raised immersed in a broad spectrum of genres: From Mozart to Muddy Waters, music was a varied constant I never took for granted.

My fascination with the voice began at a young age. To the amusement of my family, I would mimic the inflection, pitch, accent and many other textures of how people sang or spoke with eerie accuracy for someone who was scarcely speaking in sentences. My parents were certain I'd become an actress (and bring a second Academy Award into our family history). But after several frozen auditions for local theater, it was clear this was not quite the manifestation of my vocal theatrics. I soon found myself singing along to the best vocalists of our time, absorbing their intonation, power and phrasing. I discovered it was my own voice I wanted to share.

Formerly lead vocalist for the blues-infused pop band The Possessions, I've also worked with NYC area bands such as Frank Schiazza, The Kimballs, Robbers on High Street, The Benjamin Cartel, Wil Deynes among other live guest performances.

Below I've added samples of live and recorded vocal work. I also update my SoundCloud profile with tracks as they're completed.

I began hosting this series in 2008 in an effort to provide an open, inclusive and supportive environment for choreographers to bring new pieces to the stage, at any point in its development. Response is always so encouraging, I'm thrilled to bring it back to the Bill Young / 100 Grand Dance studio in SoHo; a neighborhood where so many experimental dance endeavors took flight. A Q&A / feedback forum is moderated after the show, and each artist is given the opportunity to discuss their process with their audience.
